I haven't done anything else with the Jeep, just going to give you an update on some talk with BTF.

I had emailed BTF at the very beginning of August to see if they had any interest in making a truss for the 44a (if not, maybe just making a custom one for me). Since they are located pretty close to me, I figured I'd head down there if they wanted to go forth with the design and whatnot. I finally got a reply to the email today from James saying he would be happy to design a truss for the 44a. I sent back an email saying that would be great and maybe being able to finalize a 44a truss into their product line.

Only problem is that I am back in Indiana for school. My Jeep won't be back in Alabama until about Christmas time. I told them I would love to keep in contact until then to maybe get a definite yes on BTF making the truss. If so, maybe talk about some of the features you guys would like incorporated into the design.

Hopefully I will get a reply in less than 20 days like my first one. When I do get a reply, I'll be sure to keep you guys updated on whats going on.

We’re no strangers to love,
You know the rules and so do I.
A full commitment’s what I’m thinking of,
You wouldnt get this from any other guy.
I just wanna tell you how I’m feeling,
Gotta make you understand…
Never gonna give you up,
Never gonna let you down,
Never gonna run around and desert you.
Never gonna make you cry,
Never gonna say goodbye,
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.

We’ve known each other for so long
Your heart’s been aching
But you’re too shy to say it.
Inside we both know what’s been going on,
We know the game and we’re gonna play it.
Annnnnd if you ask me how I’m feeling,
Don’t tell me you’re too blind to see…
Never gonna give you up,
Never gonna let you down,
Never gonna run around and desert you.
Never gonna make you cry,
Never gonna say goodbye,
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.

Never gonna give you up,
Never gonna let you down,
Never gonna run around and desert you.
Never gonna make you cry,
Never gonna say goodbye,
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.

Give you up. give you up.
Give you up, give you up.
Never gonna give
Never gonna give, give you up.
Never gonna give
Never gonna give, give you up.
We’ve known each other for so long
Your heart’s been aching
But you’re too shy to say it.
Inside we both know what’s been going on,
We know the game and we’re gonna play it.
I just wanna tell you how I’m feeling,

Never gonna give you up,
Never gonna let you down,

Never gonna make you cry,
Never gonna say goodbye,
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.

Never gonna give you up,
Never gonna let you down,
Never gonna run around and desert you.
Never gonna make you cry,

Never gonna give you up,
Never gonna let you down,
Never gonna run around and desert you.
Never gonna make you cry,

Since George brought this TTT, I'll put some pictures up from my trip to Badlands 2 weeks ago. Enjoy.

Got wedged/stuck in a tight place, but a helpful fellow Jeeper winched me out. And again, I honestly can't say enough about these JCR sliders. They easily paid for themselves in this ONE trip (again). I LOVE those things.

Yea, cause the 5.2 actually has some balls unlike the 4.0.

But for real, DD the ZJ and hack up a XJ and trail rig it. Or set it up for JeepSpeed like that one build over in the Fab section.

You look like you had some fun at Badlands. I've never been there myself, but I might be going in January with a friend and some of his friends.

Damn, you make me want a 44 now. I think I know where I can find one, too.

Another thing...Did you say earlier that you are considering Cragar V5 wheels? Small world, I was looking at them, too.

Yea, I'm probably going to get them once I decide to get tires. I want something different than soft 8s.

That's the exact reason why I went with the V5's. Cheap and unique.

Also, did you ever swap your front gears to 3.73? If not, I've got the 3.73's you sent me a while back and I'm not going to use them.

And also if not, how did you wheel with different ratio's?

No, I left the 3.55s in there and they will probably stay in there until I regear. I'm saving $$$ for all my diff work right now (install kits, gears, lockers). I figured it would be a waste to spend money to install those 3.73s then turn around in less than a year or so and regear to 4.56.

I wheeled around in 4FT. I never go into 4PT or 4Lo. It kind of sucks not being able to go into 4Lo with the 4.0 though.

Not really related to my build, but its semi-Jeep related. I had to make a lost foam casting design for my mech. eng. tech class and came up with this...

Wish I could have made a WJ front end, but what you going to do at 10pm the night before the lab. Oh well. Thought it looked pretty cool and thought I would share. I'll post up the final result when the aluminum gets poured/dries.
