Its sandable and paintable too which is nice.
Well, maybe I should have said "smooth". As long as it fills in some of the cut up area, I'm fine with it.

Yeah, its entirely possible I suck with a putty knife too, yours may come out a lot cleaner than mine.

On mine, i just added some metal on the rear area where I went past the inner fender and used the putty to cover the seams and seal it up, very similar to how Saturn did his.

Bondo isn't flexible once it dries.

I figured if he was going to weld up the fenders, why not have him do up the bumpers and put me in a new radiator support while he has it. I'm about to send him a message to see what we might be able to work out.

Then when I get it back, I can smooth out everything with some adhesive. I remember seeing SaturnICL say duct sealant worked well, too.
i used "seam sealer" from napa, comes in a caulking tube, i used finger and putty knife to smear it around in there

Got a little more trimming done this weekend. Just need to get rid of the bumper, clean it up and get a patch panel made.

Thanks.

Some unsettling news came up at work this morning. They're cutting staff by like 75% over the next little while. So it looks like I'm on the chopping block since Engineering wasn't one of the things they want to keep around. Hoping I can transfer over to Watts Bar, another nuke plant in TVA's fleet under construction, over in Spring City, TN. If I can swing that, I'll be getting my regular pay, 40 hours of OT per check and another chunk of change for per diem. Basically big money. Only thing that sucks is I'll be away from home for a good amount of time. However, I'll be able to pay off A LOT of debt and put some good money into the Jeep fund.

Pulled the Jeep out of the garage for round 2 of cleaning and organizing the garage.

Showing how the trimming looks with the tire on...

And a why-the-hell-not picture with the 37" Kevlar. I could probably street these things on the front with 4" springs.

Also ended up getting transferred to Watts Bar Nuke Plant. People saying we'll be working either 6 or 7 10 hour days a week. That translates into some big time money, but pretty much no work time for the Jeep. Looks like a shop might be building it after all. We'll see how it goes...

That looks sweet. Leave it that high and move your axle a few inches forward and you will have a perfect approach angle. haha.
