X2. Under a Jeep, that axle will be solid. And really...if you do need to replace a ball joint, it is pretty easy.

Yea, I'm just going to run with the unit bearings and ball joints. I'm not thrilled about the unit bearings that cost $190 a piece, but it's better than a $3000 conversion though.

Called and talked to EOR this morning and had them take off the conversion costs. Also going to have them add the hybrid cage into the next estimate. With this next estimate, I think it'll be pretty close to the final revision. Just have to get my finances in order.

I'll probably be placing a huge RockAuto order for all my OEM replacement axle parts and getting a new battery here in the next few weeks. I'm itching to get this thing rolling...

Same here! And thanks man, can't do much without an income!

Also forgot to mention that EOR will be ditching the radius arms in favor of a 4 link. Should be a slick setup when it's done!

Yea, the rear was always going to be 4 linked since I'm using a Clayton kit.

Figured I'd offer a bit of tech. So far, it's been a chore to try and find decent specs on the 99-04 Superduty D60 axles. Finally ran across an awesome PDF spec sheet of ALL the Dana axles.

Go here to view all the axle specs via PDF.

For 99-04 Ford Dana 60 SRW front axles:
  • BOM #: 611159
  • Part #: 2002694 (-1 and -2)
  • U-joint: 5-806X
  • 30 spline 1.31" stub shafts
  • 35 spline 1.5" inner shafts
Shaft specs:

Short side (driver side):
  • Overall length: 24.70"
  • Stub shaft: 9.31"
  • Inner shaft: 15.39"

Long side (passenger side):
  • Overall length: 46.93"
  • Stub shaft: 9.31"
  • Inner shaft: 37.62"

Sounds like you almost shouldn't have bought anything for your jeep. :-P you still planning coilovers?

It would have happened at one point or another.

And yea, still doing coilovers. I'm more than likely going to run 2.5 King IBP coilovers.

Finally got myself a new battery today. I picked up a stock sized (Group 65) DieHard Platinum. This thing has 930 CCA's! My Group 34 Optima only had 850. Can't wait to pick up another one for dual batteries. Then I'll have 1860 CCA's...nothing will stop me!

Looks like more parts are going up for sale...

- JCR Sliders
- HID LF 240s

I'll probably ship the lights. Going to be local only for the sliders.

(I'm sold on the Rigid LED lights. Now I'm planning on adding a 40" for the top of the hybrid cage. )

i hear ya on the rigid. a couple guys in the local club have the pairs of dually's on their jk's that they got on sale at 4wheelparts for $158/pair. and that's all they need. period. the light output is amazing. i'm going to pick up a pair for the dub. i think the 40" is a little overkill, but hey, if you got money to burn, more power to ya.

Nice, I'm wanting to pick up some dually lights as well. The 40" is on my maybe list, but I still definitely want the 20" up front.
