Now that has changed my mind to go towards the oem version because as stated before it cost about 180 to my door rather than 110 for the oem version.

That's a tough call. I trust Kevin's stuff. He builds what he uses. It's a personal preference though. I'll take shackles over hooks any day.

That is true but I heard both are good but as the prices are way different, I might have to go with oem because I know I that I might be able to find it at the junk yard.

Picked up a smitty built recovery strap 3x30 at 30k for $40 bucks at 4wheel parts.

Quick question if my rear hitch's tow capacity is 6500lbs and my car weights 5500lbs does that mean my hitch is insificant because a car's weight is doubled when stucked?

Also if you guys had a problem with starting your jeep and then it dies, check this out because i dont know what to do with this problem. Im at a lost. Also I installed a new fuel filter to see if that fixes it.

the vehicle is capable of towing 6500. the hitch itself is only capable of 5000 because it is only a class 3 hitch. but its plenty strong enough to yank on when youre stuck

Good god what are you packing in that thing to make it weigh 5500? Stock they only weigh about 3.9k with the v8.

Ohh okay because I was thinking that since the jeep weights double when stuck that my rear hitch will break off. But if thats so then why does a recovery strap have to have to be rated so high and what oes it mean when the maximum tow capacity is 5000.

Picked up a few things at 4wheelparts

Just wondering is their a way to stop someone from taking the shackel if I leave the shackel on the hitch reciver?
Also if this is a recevier mount tow ring, why does the warning say not designed for towing?

Can I use this on my flush mount valve stem because I dont see how it will screw on the adaptor.

Also anyone know a good but cheap portable air compressor under $90

i used pennzoil 80w-90. 75w-140 is for if you do a lot of towing. only friction modifier if you have a limited slip

How would I be able to tell if I had to add the friction modifier,I heard that royal purple already has that stuff inside it. Is 75w-140 good for front and rear for offroading use as well as a dd. But if I do this oil change do you think I have to upgrade my diff covers or the oem are good enough?

Is this a good choice??
