That is a very nice place. Jeep looks good. I have always liked those old 4 runners too.

Thanks and after the run I wanted to get one too. But other than alot of close calls and going on hard parts on the trail with my somewhat stock jeep was scary and intense and to add ontop of it, it was after a rainning day so the easy trails became hard and the harder trails because very complex. It was a good run but I messed up the bottom of the front of the rear fenders due to the KM2s and since I messed up my fenders, it messed up tires cutting into the lugs of the tire.

Question

1-Is it okay if I did a complete 3.5in lift but then later just add the control arms, brake line and spacers to get 5.25in lift?

2-Along with a lift would their be anything else that has to be upgraded?

3-Does it matter what type of differential cover I get either it be aluminu or cast iorn for my jeep that is a dd and a fun toy?

1. yes

2. yes, a lot

3. i doubt it does. but i would probably not get an aluminum one because it is a vulnerable area and aluminum is a softer metal. and it would cost more.

-does this apply to when i install the lift (ie 4in plus lift requires brake lines, control arms and so on) or just upgrade in general?

I heard aluminum was all just show and cast iron was much for str, but then I heard that cast iron will heat up faster.

Why are you worried about a diff cover? Do you wheel it that hard that you need one? How about rockers and skid plates?

Well i was thinking if I change the diff fluid might as well change the covers aswell and its more or less for a little more protection. And as for the rockers I think my nerf bars do just fine as rockers even though their not ment for that and for the skid plates I have, for the gas, tansfer plate, and radiator.

I was wondering what shocks would I have to get now with the 3.5in lift to be able to put in spacers in later in the future to go 5.25?

I don't think you will be able to run one shock for both 3.5" and 5".

you have no idea how much work is involved in a 5.25 inch lift. if you really want to do it, i would suggest reading up on every thing that would be needed. its not just as simple as coils and shocks

You won't find a better deal than IRO unless you buy it used. Just go with the 3.5 and then see if you want to go higher later. With short arms and 5" it will handle and ride like a turd.
