Shavin time!

Got a good gain in ground clearance...

Starting to plate it in...

Using a peice of 1/8" on the inside, welded inside and out Then will plate the bottom with another peice of 1/8", and leave a few small holes to weld the 2 together.

Template for the top peice, where I left it today.

So I finished the shave today with the bottom plate, and chopped my control arm mounts a little for clearance, and plated them in.

You can see here, one is cut one isn't.

And I wrapped the box peice around the axle tube a little bit.

This housing looks like a tank now, but it's still nice and light. I'm pretty much down to replacing the leaking pinion seal (and crush sleeve), and doing the spacer on the axleshafts.

I think these wheels are the most baddasstest things ever. These bad mamma jammas have 95%+ tread.

And the only pic of them on the jeep right now, doin some clearance work today though.

haha it'll squeeze out by a little still, I think the factory roof rails are going bye bye soon anyways, so I'll have more room too!

Out of the friends I wheel with, they've gone through a total of 4 or 5 sets of bias 36x13.5x15 in the time I've been wheeling with them, in the terrain I wheel they are absolutely unstoppable. I can't wait to go out and have some fun with them.

As for making them fit on the dub, I removed my front wheel spacers and I cut another 2" or so out of the front of the front fenders and bumper, and I'm reworking the inner wheel wells too. I want more clearance than I will ever need with these tires.

4.56's, and I dont hate it so far! the next gears I do will be 5.43/5.38's as I already have the 5.43's that came with the 9" when I bought it. So it's gunna be a while, I don't feel the need for them.
