Thanks man, I'm exhausted! I just stopped for the night, right around 12 hours of work on the jeep...damn.
Got the shock mounts done,
Got drivers side bumpstop done
One shaft drilled and studs installed, lines up perfectly with rotor and wheel so I'm golden.
Other shaft has holes predrilled, need to be bored to correct size.

I just found out I have to use the factory dust shield to retain the e-brake shoe clips, and thats pretty much where I called it a night.

Once I have the other shaft completely redrilled, all fab work will be done, will be just installation. Also, I pushed the axle back a little, but went too far for comfort with the driveshaft so I have to pull them back in a little too.

I have school tomorrow from 9-11:50, I don't think I'm going to go, ensure I get my sh*t together for this trip.

I'm alive...made it back in one peice. Good news! The 9" held up great. Bad news, nothing else did. I pretzeled my new rear driveshaft the first night, luckily I brought my spare so we swapped the conversion u-joint into it in the rain, at 1 in the morning. FUN! Next day I broke a u-joint in the front 44 on the leadup to winch hill 1, trying to get around my stuck buddy. So then there were 2 of us dead in the water, so a built jeep tried to take the hard line around us...yeah he definately rolled right in between our two trucks, actually landing on my front bumper a bit. I'll get some pics of that up, pretty entertaining having 3 dead trucks in 10 feet. As for the broken u-joint, it stretched an ear on the inner shaft and spread the ears of the shafts a little bit. We tore it apart and threw a new u-joint in on the spot even though we could freely spin one of the caps by hand, but it held up through the rest of the trip. Then today on the way out I stretched the straps on the front driveshaft and spit the caps off my front driveshaft. Found the caps, used some extra needle bearings from when we did the rear driveshaft friday night and got it good to go. Then drove it 100 miles home haha.

I wasn't the only breakage though, it was a hell of a trip. The blazer in my group had his mechanical fuel pump die the first night, then at the end he blew a seal in his steering box. A yota lost 3rd and 4th gear, and the buggy in the group is running a single-sided radius arm setup, and tore the LCA mount off the axle on the radius arm side earlier today. Got him back together ish with a comealong and we were good to go.

Alright shower now, pics later!

Hah thanks man that sounds good, just let me know!

Another funny thing, The truck handled on the road up to fordyce (90ish miles?) the best it has in years, it was amazing. ZERO clunks, vibes, pops and noises, the shimmy in the steering wheel disappeared, what I thought were tire shakes were reduced drastically making me wonder if I had a bent axleshaft in the old 44a. I was seriously talking about how well it drove with my passenger the whole time. Fully loaded down I only had like 1" of up travel before hitting the new rear bump stops and I thought it was going to be a problem, but it actually ended up being awesome for me on the road, it kept the body roll WAY down because that side couldnt compress. The polyurethane cushioned well so there were no noises, it was just a little harsh when it compressed fast on the trail, like hitting a rock hard with a rear wheel. I'll go pull a few pics off the camera

Alright the camera hardly made an appearance for the trip, but I did snap some pics of the roll, some fun flexing and I happened to get one of my driveshaft so...here ya go!

The roll; My buddy in the bronco 2 is stuck and on 3 wheels, I tried to get around and broke drivers side 44 ujoint, so the jeep tried to go around.

Here you can see how screwed I was. Sitting on the rear diff with the drivers rear off the ground, that drivers front was PINNED.

Messin around at camp this morning

Now if you zoom in on my bumper...my old/new rear driveshaft

The water flow is at 7 CFS (cubic feet per second) compared to the normal 150+, crazy people cross it up past 300 CFS. The deepest water this time was probably 2 feet, the lowest its been in years.
