Anyone in the chelan area care to teach a lady more about jeeps/mechanics?

I've got a 98 grand Cherokee that needs a transfer case, and a wheel bearing and u joint on the right side of the front axle.
Would like to learn more about mechanics, I grew up in a shop (dads a mechanic) but have only gotten my hands dirty a few times. I'd like to be able to fix my own jeep and not have to rely on others so let me know if you ever need a hand in the garage and are willing to teach me! (:
