Hahaha. Actually I have no clue. The fender is prolly gonna get 1/2 to 1" trim. Not much, but enough to really FLEX OUT my 32"s.

How is the 3 inch lift working out with 32 inch tires? are they true 32's

I was only planning on running 31... but idk

Well its 265/75, 31.8, so I consider it a 32". I had to put a small wheel spacer up front, prolly like 1/8", lol. I needed to do this to clear my front disco pins, NO ONE ever had this problem before for some reason

Other than that, I trimmed my front bumper (pg 3 or 4) to flow better with the fender line, and get the full stuff clearance. At full flex, the front and rear tuck in very nicely, I only extended my front bumpstops because when I wheel, having the option to turn fully lock to lock without hitting the fenders, would be nice without worry.

I would just slow it down a LOT to make sure your blade doesn't catch and go somewhere you don't want it to. My advice: CUT SLOW. Never force the grinder to cut, let is slowly cut without forcing it.

The fronts are easy, the rear is where it gets a bit sketchy on the WJ. When you cut, you are separating the inner and outer body panels. I recommend welding them back together, or using a factory quality seam sealer to seam the panels back together. I have some ideas for both methods listed in my Iceland Install thread. Of course, you aren't installing flares, but much of the info would be good to look at.

Look at the pics that show how you can create tabs to keep your front inner fender liners up front, and the pics I posted of WJ2000's rear cut/fold/weld. it shows how wide of a gap you end up with when you trim the rears (behind the tires, just above/in front of the rear bumper.

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f310/...ll-wj-1072703/

I didn't try to keep my lines very straight because I was covering them with flares, so I just used an air saw. I have helped others cut their though, and they were not installing flares. So we used tape to form the line, and used air grinders to slowly slice a smooth line.

I appreciate it man!
Although I'm only planning on trimming the front, since the rear and 32's tuck in very nicely.

You think even one of those 120V air cut off wheels from Harbor freight could do the job?

yes, easily. Just go slow. I like to have a surface to stabilize my movements. I like to hold it with both hands, and rests my left arm against the fender as I move. That way if the blade does grab, I am braced to not let the cutoff wheel pull me everywhere.

Very cool project. I can tell you are having some serious fun with that wj.

Your DIY mode is admirable and inspirational for a newb like me. I want to run out and buy a welding rig.
