Advise please re axel boot
Bought first jeep this winter - LOVE IT. It's a '97 Grand Cherokee Larado, V8, with 125k miles. So our mechanic has replaced a few things, headlight switch, now new shocks all the way around... he says it needs new axle boots.
Okay, but then he says might as well replace the axles at the same time, b/c even tho they are fine, it won't be much more $ than doing the boots alone. Does this make sense? Live in small town, rural area, estimate for whole job about $400 (which seems cheap?)
Thanks! I know nothing about fixing vehicles - at your mercy :-)
