98 Grand Cherokee Laredo Hesitation problems

Hi all,

I've been having hesitation problems on my 98 jeep gc Laredo since I bought it last year. It only had 77k on it and I put on another 10k..

The problem is that whenever I start it after it's sat for a half hour or longer it hesitates or fumbles or bucks (don't know exactly how to explain it but hesitation seems to Be best)....meaning that if I drive slow and don't give it a ton of gas it hesitates and I hear a sort of knocking sound and the car doesn't go anywhere. Once I give it a lot of gas (over 40mph) it straightens out until I let it sit again.

Also, when I let it idle, it is rough. Meaning that it starts to sputter and the rpms rev. If I'm sitting at a light before I "clear it" by going over 40 or so I will jerk forward and the rpms will go up.

I've taken it to a few mechanics and they haven't been able to fix it.

What's been done:
Full tune up- spark plugs & wires
I cleaned throttle body.
Discounted computer in back left of
Engine compartment and plugged back in (this caused check engine light to go out)

I don't know what to do at this point. Please help me out.

Other problems that may/may not Be a part of hesitation...
1. Engine light comes on sporadically when I have a half tank of gas or less.
2. Rough idle.
3. Popping noise from front left side whenever I slam on the brakes or make a tight turn.
4. Tires seem to skid when I make a tight turn.

Thanks in advance!
