96 ZJ Laredo

Just got my new ZJ Laredo this past week. As far as I know everything is stock and I need some help. What do i need to get, and what do I need to do to get this little tank on/off road ready?

What kind of lift should I do?
-What will I need to adequately lift it?
-What tires are appropriate for that lift.
-Will my normal rims do well?
What suggestions do you have?

Thank you in advance!

;D we'll call this my before shot.

all depends on how much you want to spend and what you plan on wheeling. If it was me I would do like a rubicon express 4.5 in long arm and some 33 12.5 BFG all terrain tires.

3.5 inches is the limit before you need to upgrade most of the suspension
32's are the max you'll run with that lift
Check out some prices at ironrockoffroad.com and go from there.

All sounds great, I just want to avoid pulling off my front bumper, let alone cutting it. Not sure if you're familiar with the pine barrens, deep woodsy trailblazing with lots of mud holes.

I go to the pines about twice a year you will need a 2 inch bb or look into the front to rear swap. And a snorkel is your friend out there and stay away from quarter mile they are impounding/ giving major fines

yah, with a 4.5 lift. And must not be doing any offroading worth mentioning. Trimming is standard and easy to do with a sharp knife.

So far most interested in the front to rear swap. What springs could I use on budget?
Don't i need some tool to compress the springs? I was a wee laddie when I help my old man do springs. :P

So I've made up my mind.
I'm doing the front to rear swap, trying to get coils.

-Now when I add 3.5's in the front and then swap my rear coils with the front ones, is everything going to be level???

-Since I'm not replacing the shocks if i hit a dip in the road and they need one more inch that they wont from the springs extending them, is S*** going to go chaos?

Okay I found a set of springs I want to get! A set of front springs that will fit my ZJ and give 3" Lift. What tire sizes would yall recommend? Would It be redonkulous looking if I save for some 275's?

Looking into some lights, i know what I want but, How to mount them? Suggestions? How do yall use he roofrack to mount them?

Lights and tires

So far I've gotten my lights done and acquired a set of BFG 33" 12.5" 15" TA KO's (Many thanks to Sam for selling them to me.)

Still need to add spiral wrap to conceal loose wires.

Ordering Lift coils so I can do a F>R swap this Thurs!

Tires are quite worn unfortunately will be replacing them slowly but surely!

Oppinions?
