Does anyone know how to turn this off. I have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee and it randomly sounds off this tone its 2 sets of 3 beeps each. I heard it a scheduled maintanence tone and does anyone know how to turn this off. Thanks...

Are there any lights flashing? Do you have a VIC? Is there anything flasing on the VIC?

If there is fix it. If its the oil change reminder, reset it.

He's got a WJ, so he definitely has the EVIC (overhead display), which combines the ZJ overhead display and VIC into one unit.

If its beeping, it should be telling you something it "thinks" is wrong.

I'm having the warning tone problem with our '95 cherokee. Warning tone will sound constantly with no warning displaying. Usually will go for about 3-4 minutes and then just quit.

Then I'll get the random "coolant low" or "turn signal" tones. Coolant level is good. All bulbs checked to make sure correct part and proper voltage.

It's getting to where I can almost here the tone in my sleep.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Also, a loosely shut lift gate or door (or any switches involved) can cause the beep.

I finally got rid of that 6 beep tone...I noticed on the VIC when the beeps first went on a quick flash of the low coolant went on and off instead of it just staying put at low coolant. I checked my coolant reserves and it was just a tad bit under the full. So I filled it about an inch above the full line and what da ya know it stops beeping.....

I'm having this same issue with my 2000 grand Cherokee. It's quiet annoying and I have to get this looked at. I think it has something with the jeep needing service. I will update this thread if I come up with anything in the next few days.
