Sure it's a jeep but it's a 5.9 Have you ever owned one? Im sure you havent or you wouldunderstand where im coming from. Nicest, fastest ZJ ever made.

Even though it's a powerful, well outfitted vehicle, it's still a Jeep. It's considered about the best base you can have to start with, and if he owns it, it's up to him what he does with it. Just like it was up to you to lower yours. Most here would consider that sacrilege. He's not destroyed the awesomeness of the 5.9. He's just built upon it.

Who cares PlatinumNiner, this is a build thread, not an argument about the fastest jeep or what he does to it. Just leave it alone, no one cares what he does to it, it is his jeep to do as he pleases. Let's just leave it at that.

Damn this thread went wild lol!

Platinum your right, the 5.9 kinda relates to the SRT8! Maybe I should solid axle one of those too...

Are you really that frustrated over it? Just buy a 5.2 ZJ with a blown engine for under $1k, and swap in a niner. Same performance, less pizzaz.

Aaaanyways! Sorry I haven't been around lately guys, I moved a few weeks ago and haven't had the internet until today. I picked up Andy's jeep again last week for the long haul. I've got to do some minor tinkering on the exhaust to get it to pass smog, then it's the gloves off teardown for the tons! So you should be seeing updates in not toooo long

He told me that was a feeler thread to keep his options open, but gave me the go ahead to continue with the build, though the current plans are using the claytons 7" coils and mechanical steering vs the original coil overs and full hydro!

I just unloaded all the parts into my garage today, its all so puuuuurdy!
