allright, update time.

for those of you that do not know, there are new race classes for the king of the hammers, stock class, and modified class.

i have registerd my jeep in the stock class, and so..the build will be having some adjustments made to it.

some of the major ones.

35"x14X16.5 tires....yes. max tire size in the class in 35, so we are going down.

fuel cell, still looking at options here.

safety cage, with mounts for 5 point harnesses.
fire suppression system (ih had it for over a year, just have not installed it)

14" travel FOA 2.5 remote resivore shocks.

aslo going to add some additional frame plating, and some cross member work.

tube doors, and remove hear hatch.

both front and rear KOR bumpers are going to be sold, and replaced with tube.... so consider this the first for sale add for them they wont be coming off the jeep for at least 2 months, but you might want to get in line quick if you want them. pm me for pricing.

other things we will need, are the fire retardant suits, helmets,

there are some more things, but they are minor...lots of work to be done over the next 8 months.

So why are you changing now?

Are you gunna stay at 7 inches with only 35s or are you going down?

You went from straight crawler to half baja half crawler.

well, they introduced the idea of the stock class and modified class, MABE a month ago.
greg and i did talk about it, and it was something i had in mind, about a week ago they released the rules for each class, over looking them, i decided that we would be able to adjust the build accordingly to fit the requirements.

as of now, im thinking im going to stay at 7" fore the sake of saving money on springs and further suspension adjustment, not only that, but it will be that much more up travel that we will be able to get out the system.

i didnt realy consider it a striaght crawler before... i had plans of bringing down here where i live and "baja" it out in the desert, only difference is now that we have to meet certain specifics

So I think its about time to have some progress here haha...

I went over to Performance Cryo today and picked up some new H1 beadlock orings from Dean so I could assemble the wheels, and actually have them hold air

So I assembled 2, aired 'em up and put them on the front end! The best part...I was able to take the jackstands out from under the front for the first time!

Hehehe. I'll have more progress pics soon!

while i am racing?
keep them at my house.

the 35's are going to end up being a race only set, that way i dont tear up the 37's that i plan on using for regular wheeling, and driving around.

That's actually the other half of his aftermarket bumper, it's a bolt on radiator skid!
