Nah I'm not ready for the jeep quite yet man, the blue submarine needs some lovin now. And when I'm workin on your jeep, it's going to be in the blue sub's spot hehe. I gotta get mine ready for my next trip! Gotta pull the tcase and cut the input shaft, with a few other things. There wasn't enough gear oil coming out to tell the color, I'll find out when I dive into it. I figured better to leave it sealed for now.

Well you can take about 2" off to the bottom of the ring gear, but we're planning a mohawk so the sides will be cut that high, then step down to clear the ring gear.

thats why you build the custom cover with a higher fill port.
the solid cover on my 8.8 has me able to put in nearly 5qts.

thats the plan... also, when you do this, you have to make sure your breather will still work properly with the higher level of fluid.

i tubed it out of the useless abs sensor hole on the 8.8.

im thinking that the angry flapjack might have to drill a hole in the cast housing and then insert a breather or something.

i drilled a hole in my SOLID cover for the breather. It still leaks tho when it gets hot. Gonna put a bit less fluid when i change it
