5.9 Andy's 1 Ton ZJ Build "American Standard"

So I will start by saying it is called American Standard because of:

http://image3.examiner.com/images/bl...Champion_4.jpg

LOL. He said it's been called that before, and because I made this that's what I'm calling it!

So, as you might know Andy is in the marines and hasn't been home to do any wheelin or work on the jeep in a long while. What you DON'T know is he's been secretly stocking up for a BADASS build. Well, he's not going to have the time to build it for entirely too long, and just wants to wheel so after some long discussions in the past few weeks, he's given me the opportunity to tie all the components together into a SICK 1 ton ZJ build that's ready to wheel when he get's home.

The goods are:
T&T Longarms (Front and rear crossmembers, bellyskid)
T&T Frame Stiffeners
Megashaved 14 bolt w/ detroit and 5.38's
'78 Ford HP60 w/ eaton e-locker (i think? lol)
1.5" .250 wall 1 ton steering with hydro assist
Boatsides
Rubicon Rock-Trak transfer case
7" Coils...or other :teehee:

So! The other day we dropped off the first goods at my place to get started on them. The axles, and parts. Today I started stripping them, then andy stopped by and we both went to town on them. The 14b is 95% down to bare metal, the HP60 is bracketless but dirty.

The goods next to the Blue Submarine

Lol we could pump out some wicked work for sure!

So my dad came home from a trip a day early, which means I had to clear out his parking spot ASAP, so I finished cleaning the 60 today and painted both axles to weatherproof them.

Dirty much? Heh *******!

It actually didn't take me very long...I love my wire wheels! Oh and I gotta say thanks to Andy for lending me his grinders, I killed my dewalt the other night =/
http://agitatedpancake.com/random/je...y/dscn4098.jpg

After wire wheeling, I scraped and scrubbed anywhere it couldn't get, wiped both axles down with brake clean and shot some $1 black spraypaint to keep them nice and neat while they wait for the next phase.

Heavy mohfuggas I must say! I dropped them onto this custom rack (lol) along with a milk crate of non-essential extra parts. I also sprayed any important non-painted surface with WD-40 to keep them from rusting. Oh and BTW Andy...did you know the 60 still has gear oil? Haha you can see a little drizzled out the long tube.

So! That's how the axles will sit for now, with some cover. The next stage will be me bringing Andy's jeep to my place to install the T&T frame stiffeners, and the front longarms!
