I think a clayton front half and tnt back half would be a good set up.

yea, but one of the big reasons i went with tnt was because of the Y-link front end, more clearence on the LCA's.

also, let me axe you this.... how often do you drop your cross member?

I will say I am pretty impressed with the clearance under these arms, I think it has mine beat by a pretty good amount because of that bend, and I hammer on mine pretty good. I seem to drag my rear LCAs a decent amount too, so the triangulation in the TNT kit will be nice there.

Also, they made it pretty easy to drop the arms out, which helps make it less of a PITA to drop the crossmember. The only thing that sucks is dropping it will involve 4 skidplate bolts, the 4 (2 per side) massive new bolts, and the 4 smaller outer bolts, along with the mount itself.

At least every 6 weeks for one reason or another. Lol.

The value of" lower clearance" long arms is their ability to protect your drive shafts.

lol, a bit to often for my taste.

and the vale of "low clearance" arms realy comes into play with low pinion axles... like 99% of rear axles... and most front axles.

now with hight pinion axles, like my front HP60... this is not an issue, as the drive shaft is still a good distance above the control arms.

Alright got an update guys!

Exhaust interferance

Holy clearance batman! I like these arms...

Here's your modified exhaust. It has one extra bend I wasn't able to get rid of in the middle that looks a little funky, but it's still smooth transitions between all the pipes. I don't have any exhaust tubing ATM so all I had to work with was whatever I cut out of it haha. I don't really care for how it looks, but it'll be getting replaced with a clean high flowing version in the future so I'm not worried about it.

I pulled the drivers side section of the Y pipe back to make a more direct shot to the collector, and to stay out of the LCA's way

high clearance brackets and he won't have anything to drag till the tranny skid you'll be making(you will be making one right?)

do what i did for exhaust(after getting ripped off by the local "performance" shop). get the flowmaster y, an assortment of mandrel bends and exh flanges, and go to town.

and if he'd like some headers that help get that stuff tucked a bit better, i like the hedman tight tubes headers on my rig. not to blow my own horn or nothing(it doesn't work anyways.)

as it sits i could 3 link it on the pass side and not run into any clearance issues. my cat also ends before the back of the crossmember.

yes, there will be a tranny skid. at LEAST a HD tranny cover.
as far as exhaust, i think we will tackle that after everything is all done.

Who did all the body work to fill the holes in the doors and fenders when you removed the cladding? Why did you do that to begin with and why did you use a 5.9 for this project? Rarest ZJ on the road.

96-97 Orvis or 93-94 5 speed are WAY more rare than the 5.9 is.

OK maybe more rare but nor worth half as much. The value of this 5.9 was killed with this project. The 5.9 is a totally different animal it was the "srt" of 1998. They made 14,000 and change and sold for over $40,000 in 1998 Jeep never made a faster or more optioned Jeep till 2006 when they produced the SRT Doesnt make sence to me to cut up a truck like that. Use one you find every day not one you have a hard time finding. I know you know all this already though lol.
