I've never timed my ZJ, but I blew the doors off a 5.9L R/T Dakota today. He got on the gas, got in front of me, i got right beside him and honked my horn 3 times...waited till I heard him get on it and here I came. Blew past him before I even shifted into 3rd. Never test a ZJ and you don't know what's under the hood...5.2L with some mods that actually make a difference. Sounded like he had a straight pipe exhaust on the 5.9

What good would it do me to know how fast my jeep will go down the 1/4 mile, I've got better things to waste $ on than gas on a 1/4 mile.

"Their" ZJ, not "there" ZJ. It's amazing how many people don't know the difference. Did anybody graduate third grade? Ha ha.

I don't own a ZJ and it wasn't in the quarter but the eighth mile I watched a 5.2 run an 8.60.

Or are we that dumb for driving Jeeps?

I jest of course, I doubt I will ever sell my ZJ. I will drive it until the last bolt rusts off on the road!

Not to be rude or anything but why are you posting in this thread then?..The OP did not ask for gas concerns regarding the Qtr mile time.. Just a freindly topic.

Ill take a magnum over the 4.7. I love the torque in these things. Especially 1st and 2nd gear torque.

Now my 2013 5.7L Ram....will move pretty quick. Don't have a time though.
