hey guys, i got the FlowMaster Off Road super 44 installed today.. i'm in class so i'll work on a good pic of the custom exhaust (to fit around the 4 link) and a video so you can hear what the off road one sounds like.. I think it's quieter then my regular super 44, and a little deeper.. we'll see tho when it's broke in.

okay, so here are some pics of my new exhaust.. i'm trying to get the video to up load

so here it is.. it was tricky because it had to fit around my 4 link and not be in the way when i flex

it's a FlowMaster Off Road Super 44 (made from 1/4" diamond plate)


it had to be tucked out of the way of the upper control arms. there was also the daunting task of finding ways to hang the exhaust.. the guy who did it was a genius to think to use a rubber bushing mount and bolt it to the stock A-arm mount


you can kinda see in this one how the exhaust runs under the upper LA mount and then back up out


then he routed it out the back like normal..

okay so the audio on these kinda sucks, i'm gunna try again with my dad's nicer camera tomorrow and see if it helps

Sounds good man...I woulda went with a polished angle cut tip though, but I just like that stuff.

ha true.. i can always get one.. but i wore off about an inch off my old one, over time with wheelin' in moab.. so i didn't feel it was worth it...

I'm not sure if you posted the answer to this question earlier, but why didn't you go with a turn down before the rear axle?

Or does your setup not allow that?

well if you look at the pics of my 4 link you can see i did a turn down after the super 44, before the axle... i went to do safety and emissions and the really cool jeep guy who owns the shop told me he'd let me slide with it coming out the side, but the law is it has to come out the back, behind the passenger compartment... blah! so i had to get rid of my beloved turn down And coming out the side would a got in the way for wheeling and just be as much of a hassle as getting around the 4 link..

ha specially since i already have this under my front passenger door from my first time on cliffhanger...



my project at the moment, is to sand down my rockers and spray them down with some 3M rubber undercoating stuff.. i have all the supplies.. just been lazy lol...
