Your toes are hawt.

I love fast paced builds! Gonna be a bad *** blue ZJ when all is said and done. You need bumpers though!

Haha thanks man. I wish it were faster paced than it's going right now. The build is going on at a buddys house and he works a regular like 0600-1500 Job and I work 1500-2300 so we can only work weekends and he is going out of town this weekend no worries though, we'll jump back into when he gets back and get'r done! Gotta rep the blue ZJs! Lol

and bumpers are on the list of things to do. Just more concentrated on making it roll again right now.

Finally get to get back to work on bigblue this weekend! i was just bored at home and thought man im going to need a spare....

so being the craigslist sages we all are, i hopped on and found these guys...

they are 16s and my other tires are 17s but what difference does it make when you pay 20 bucks a tire and they are spares? just gotta find some rims and mount them up.

then my 44 SOLID diff cover came in the mail and i got bored with my dog. hahaha

for all of you interested in the SOLID diff cover, they have them on sale for 65 a pop on solids website but shipping brings it over 80. Carolinatruggies sells them for 72 shipped. these things are usually 130-140 so take advantage! sale ends on the 15th. im waiting on funds for my 60 cover. hopefully my GF buy it for me. lol

hoping to get a lot done this weekend. ill keep yall posted!

got some work done today that im pretty excited about....

first off had to pull the old carrier bearings off of the old carrier to hone out in order to use as setup bearings for the re-gear. we had quite a contraption together to get the pinion bearing off so i didnt have to track down and spend 26 bucks on another one. it worked out really well.

got all of the bearings and races honed out that needed to be and started putting the gears together.

first attempt, when i torqued the caps down to spec the ring and pinion wouldnt move so we took out .010 shim from the ring gear side to the other and put it all back together. its spun fine so we checked the backlash on it.

had to rig up another contraption to hold the yoke and keep the pinion from spinning that also worked flawlessly, i might add

specs for a 44 say B/L should be between 6-10 and we hit about 7.5!!

so we painted a section of the ring gear. GOLDEN

what do you think about the pattern? according to all the pictures that ive ever seen, id say its a good pattern.

we ended up calling it a night there so im really happy and can almost say i did my first re-gear. it still has all my setup bearings in it but tomorrow it will get all new bearings and races pressed.

There will b a locker in the 44. With the initial setup , it's just easier to not have the spiders or locker in. It will b a Detroit EZ locker. The 60 will b welded.
