2014 Grand Cherokee Transmission Problems

Heads up, our 500 mile 2014 Grand Cherokee that has only driven around town has been in the shop for over a week and a half awaiting a new transmission.
Very little help from dealer, passed the buck up stairs and after 8 left messages have been told the new transmission shipped. They would not answer if this is a wide spread problem but recommend we buy the extended warranty, not a good sign for my hard earned dollars.

We have a 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland 3.7 and it's in the shop 2nd time less then 3,000 miles with Transmission issue. 1st time the transmission was slipping would not get going, was told it needed a software update. Got it back worked for a bit then started to slip from 1st gear to 2nd only right of the bat in the morning. Then yesterday going down the highway at 55 mph the engine felt like it was missing, check engine light came on, pulled of the exit to go to dealer and would not pick up speed. At the red light after turning green it felt like it was slipping (Tach was not pegging) limped it to the dealer. Will see what they say this time getting upset a bit.

There have been alot of complaints about the new tranny. There are quite a few updates for it from the dealer but ive heard those dont help much.

I just got a 2014 JGC Limited - I drove it for 7 days and the transmission broke. The gear wont change from 2 to 3 and when you come to a stop you will get a kick back after the transmission goes to 1 gear. I took it to the dealer and they said that it needs a new transmission. What a waste of time.
