Got to be expensive to fix when it inevitably breaks. That is the big complaint on the LR line. Something like $2.5K in parts alone.

x2 - IIRC, it was about $500 including labor to replace an air suspension bag in my '88 Lincoln.

It looks nice on the outside and I like the interior a lot, but I really doubt anybody is going to be doing any crazy wheeling with that thing. What about warranties, I can't imagine them covering anything broken while wheeling (which sucks, it's like the GTR's launch control. Sure it's there but if you use it your warranty goes bye bye)

IFS/IRS suspension FTL

Are people this stupid? They don't have a clue how long a vehicle takes to develop. Do they really expect a manufacturer to drop every vehicle they just spent the last 4 years on R&D & hundreds of millions of $'s on & start making 40+ MPG cheep vehicles overnight?

All this auto crap just happened only 3 months ago.

Looks like some hippy strewn space age design. Totally not what Jeep is all about. Designed by the same guy who did the 2nd phase Compass. (The 1st phase was originally supposed to be a Dakar Rally type vehicle that was buyable by the public.....)

I really think Jeep needs to separate into its own brand....get away from Chrysler and their prototype dreams....

I think Hummer needs to do the same....get away from GM and keep a tradition going..

...both need to be that "Go anywhere" type vehicles....

No? Land Rover and AM General (which doesn't share 2 letters with AMC by accident) specifically chose IFS/IRS setups for their off-road capabilities.

You don't see many people complaining about Humvees being mall crawlers.

1) I wonder if they will be offering lifetime warranties on this?

2) I think the exterior is a bit busy, although I really like the styling. They should clean up the back end a bit, theres too much going on. The front looks good, but there are 2 black plastic pieces right in front of each front tire, which seem to extend down unnecessarily low. Trim those flush with the rest of the bumper and it looks good to go.

3) I don't like the "rubber bands" wrapped around those 20" rims. This tire/rim combo looks too narrow and the tires look like they provide no cushion. It dosen't look right, esp. with that air suspension raised. Hopefully they will have a 17" wheel/tire option that looks more like it should be on a jeep.

4) I am excited about it, and will consider one in 2 years when my lease is up. However i am interested to see how this thing does in the real world and see what kind of quirks get ironed out, including tsb's. I'll never buy the first model year or 2 or anything. If its as good as chrysler is making it out to be, I think they have a winner.

It looks like a lot of different cars mixed together. The side looks like a new acura MDX, the rear looks like an acura mdx and like superarmen said like a santa fe. The interior looks really comfortable so im down with that. I am curious like others to see the warranties available for this rig. It seems that the air bag stuff would fail at some point. I like the front, looks like a subaru tribeca or a WJ with projectors and that ugly *** ebay grille.

I read through the article and loved how they compared the 2011 GC gas milage to the 09 camry, i dont quite think that thats a fair comparison even though the camry only gets 6 mpg better.

The height adjustment is great – I don’t have any issues getting or out of the Jeep but my wife does. It looks like I have to buy a new jeep.

Yeah, but how much will suspension upgrades cost on that?

I think they're getting away from "JEEP" and making it look like a BMW X5.
