2010 Cherokee recalls
I'm currently looking at a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado. In my investigation I noticed there was a recall on that year for the transfer cases, something to do with an electrical issue, switching the case to neutral, rolling the vehicle, and another issue with the engine shutting off during deceleration. I checked the Lerado, and it has the V6 3.7L engine which should mean it was installed with the Quad Track 1 V140 4WD System. I believe the recall was for the Quad Track 2 V245 4WD System, which is for the V8 5.2L Hemi Engine. But what is confusing me, is the recall was for 2010 vehicles, which had the hemi discontinued for 2010. So why was there a recall then, and where can I go with the VIN number to find if Chrysler did a recall on this vehicle?
Posting this 3 times isn't gonna get you a better answer. If this is the same one you were talking about in your test drive post, the dealer should be able to find out what recalls were done. And it's "Laredo," not Lerdao, Larado, or Lerado.
