2004 Grand Laredo build

I've got a lot of ideas running through my head about how to build my car and I've done a lot with it already. So I figured I'd show off what I've done and what I plan to do to everybody and get ideas from people to further my build and guide people with what they plan to do.

My current project is restoring these overland rock rails I bought. I put on a couple coats of rust preventative and the next step is to primer then paint and clear coat for the best results. I've got to order the u-clips that go in the frame from online but they are cheap. After this winter I'm going to check on them and continue to restore them through the seasons as I need to.

One of my last projects was painting my roof racks silver. I kinda did a sloppy job since it was my first time really painting car parts but they look good now. In the near future I'm going to go over them again to make them look even better.

I was thinking of painting mine too, what color did you end up using? Prep work?

Good luck with the build!

I decided to try doing the same silver as my roof racks and painting the end caps black. If I decided I don't like how it looks i'll probably paint them gray.

Preva work wise I sanded all the rust off, cleaned them up, went over with primer and rust preventative, finished, and then clear coated. I wanted maximum protection and to look great for a long time. If I have to next spring I'm going to everything depending on how the winter treats them.
