2002 ZJ or 2002 Liberty

My wife needs a new vehicle. It looks like its close to the end for the 98 ZJ. Trying to decide between a 02 liberty and 02 Grand. Grnd has lower miles....

02's are wj's not ZJ's.

Liberty's are for females, so that seems appropriate

Ive heard and experienced bad issues with those newer 4.7L V8's. Im not a fan of them personally. I dont care much for libby's either but that just opinion, Ive never drove one so I dunno much about those myself

my buddys dad has an 02 liberty and that things had more major problems than my ZJ. blown head gaskets, dropped a valve seat, crank sensor, coil packs, the list goes on. only way id buy a WJ is if it had a 4 liter. those 4.7s were just like the 3.7 in the liberty just with 2 more cylinders. i vote for get another ZJ

Isn't that 4.0 the same as the older ones, just with different components?

The 02 WJ that I'm looking at does have the 4.0, with 97k. Asking price is 6300. One owner car. Seems like a good deal, so I'm sure it has already been sold.

I ended up buying the 2002 WJ. Its in excellent condition, no dents, or dings, no rust, interior is like new, and it runs great. Way better than the liberty that we were considering.
