Thanks man! Yep, that was my train of thought. Any rim paint recommendations?

I used a couple cans of the cheap walmart brand, glossy black. Less than a buck each

Though I hear Krylon Fusion works better since it costs more haha

I was being sarcastic lol but I have used Krylon and Rustoleum etc and found that they are quite a bit heavier/thicker and it can run a little easier if you're not careful.

Which ever one you use just test it out first to see how it sprays and goes on.

After spending like what $3-5 per can on the "good stuff" when I was painting my cladding I said screw that and got 5 cans for 5 bucks and I think it turned out just fine.

HAHA. Ok. I'm not good at catching sarcasm, lol. I,m most likely gonna do the rustoleum for the grill, krylon for the cladding, and someting for the rims.

BTW I didn't do the grill yesterday, ran out of time and daylight, and the garage has a big ol desk in it that needs to go away, lol.

I would just use whatever you paint the rest with... It all comes down to how much you want to sand / prime / sand / 1st coat / 2nd coat / sand / 3rd coat / clear coat / etc etc etc

Haha. Ok, I'm gonna make sure the rims look good. For the cladding do I just need to clean it and paint it? Or would you recommend sanding? Ive already sanded the grill, and I'm gonna prime and paint it today.

Haha I thought about taking the doer cladding off. But I decided against the "hole in the side of the car" look. Lol. Though I did rake the rocker cladding off, it looks much better.

Hopefully. The spray paint was old, and had issues, lol. So if I am goin to do the bumpers im gonna have to go get some more paint, haha. I'll probably get some Krylon Fusion, since a lot of people have used it with great results.

For my wheels I used the cheap .97 cent black paint from Walmart.
My wheels are aluminum, and I didn't primer them. Just sanded and shot 5 coats on a hot day. It turned out nice and "flat" black. Kinda hard to keep clean though. They've chipped a bit but I just respray.

I have to see if the paint stays on thru the snow and road salt soon...But you being in NC won't have much of a problem with that.

ZJ DD, WW. 4.go litre modded. 3", 31's. Needs armor.

Ok. Whenever I do mine I am probabaly going to sand, primer, black, sand, 1 or 2 more coats of black, and the clearcoat.

Yeah. I hope we get some snow here so I can go have fun in it. Lol.
