Hit a deer with 1998 Grand Cherokee, now it shuts off shortly after started. It's the theft device. Any way to reset it?

Usually if it is the theft system it will not crank at all but the only two ways i know of is to try and reset your computer by disconnecting the battery, and the other is to contact the dealer ship and get the codes

unlock the drivers door with the key. if that doesnt work, try the passenger door or the rear hatch.
