Looks pretty good for chrome accessories. Its wayyyy overpriced, kinda like the retard on my club site that is trying to hock a stock 1997 4.0L laredo with 120k for 6,000.
Frase, I paid $6K for mine '97 Laredo in March of 2007. It had 92,889 miles on it...and was/is stock. Wheeee.
But honestly, that's crazy expensive for that dub. No way anyone is paying that. Wait, he'll probably put it on Ebay and get that. People can be dumb. All of those 'drop pitman arm' modded dubs you see on there. Amusing stuff.
Yeah, except its 2.5 years older now and they are going for 2-2.5k less around here.
I was being facetious. I'm in such a mood. I overpaid when I bought it. It was really worth about $5K then, but you couldn't find one in this area at a dealership with any real chance of not getting a POS for prices that made sense. $6k was their Autotrader price, which they honored, but $1000 lower than their lot marked price. It was in mint condition though. I've run it through its paces since, and it shows, but when I got it, it looked new! Garage kept so that even the cladding and bumpers looked good. Now they're all faded.
However, the darn thing is solid and will likely go another 100K with general maintenance. So I'm not too worried. Owning is so much better than owing. Even if I have to spend $200 a month in maintenance, it's cheaper than a new car payment + full coverage insurance.
Anywho, people will always ask crazy prices for things. Whether it's out of ignorance or pure flippant want to cheat people, it's plain stupid. I could find a JK Unlimited, perhaps 2005, for around or less than what that guy's asking for his WJ.
The nerf bars, 17" chrome wheels, and white letters out make the price double from a normal WJ. Then tripple the cost of the lift, add in the brush guard and factor in the low mileage and you easily make it to 17k. I hope that was an error.
