If you can do that, you're not carrying enough tools, spares, food, drinks, etc...

I agree, however the food and drinks were in another vehicle and all of my tools were laying right next to me or in what's left of the spare tire area lol

John breaking down the front-half of his NP231. Had it repaired the next day and wheeled Cliff Hanger starting at ~4pm.

Kevin on his way up Poison Spider

Up a ledge (not sure of the obstacles name)

Sean doing the same

Our only carnage for the trail - his spring kept popping out. After two times, we reconnected the anti-sway bar and continued without further incidents.

Sean passing through the Wedgie

Seans turn

Heading up the Wedge

Beautiful day and view

Corbin's Turn

Kevin too

For some reason Kevin attaches a tripod, then picks it all up to take a picture

Headed back down the "left" turn. Justin our fearless leader almost endo'ed here.

Hells Revenge. Dave, Kevin, Putz, Ron, Sean, Keith, Corbin, and myself.

I think Corbin's Jeep (right) and my Jeep (left) are nicely inverse of each others color schemes.

Ron headed up Hells Gate

Sean you're up

View from the overlook on Moab Rim.

Corbin headed down the Z-turn

Todd coming down Devils Crack (I think that is what it is called?)

Troy flexing just after the Crack.

Looking back at Poison Spider's Mini-Arch from Moab Rim

I would like to encourage ZJ's, WJ'z, WK's, and even WK2's in the area (and those far away) to come out next year to GSW 2014. The event is full of great people of mildly built Jeeps (2" and 31's) and buggies running 1-ton axles on 37's. There are trails for both categories. Often you'll find a very high-end built Jeep on an easier trail because a big part of the event isn't just wheeling, but hanging out with all the great people that attend. People break stuff, but we get you off the trail and back to town, and repaired. Generally breakage is limited to the more highly modified rigs so if you're not that built yet, you're a lot less likely to break.

Also, on Saturday night we have a "banquet" (Pizza in the park) where some very nice prizes are given out. This year we had a sealed battery, rock sliders, roof racks, high clearance cross members, tow hooks, light bars w/lights and many more high-dollar items given away. Every year Clayton's Offroad gives away two 25% off gift certificates which if you're going to long arms, is a $600 value. Brackets, tools, bags, schwag, and lots of other goodies are donated for the give away.

Lastly, we have fund raisers to raise money for various 4wd organizations. Last year ~$700 was raised, this year over $1600!

This is an event full of great people, amazing 4wd trails, and beautiful scenery. It is non-profit put on by a group of 4-wheelers that dedicate a ton of time to get everything organized into such a great event. We want to keep it going strong and continue to make it better each year.

See you in 2014!

And that's exactly what I did this year - ran 3 days worth of easy to moderate (in spots) scenic trails, and enjoyed the company of friends who I only see once a year there in Moab.

On Thursday, a small group of us drove up to Gemini Bridges and played around:

On Friday, a group of us ran a new (to GSW) trail, Flat Iron Mesa. Wells' book rates it as "difficult", and we only ran the first part on this trip due to a mechanical issue with one of the rigs, but it was fun and made a full day. Need to go back and do the rest of this one.

and a vid from my dash cam on The Chute:
