They are so much better than the factory bulbs. No yellow tint/haze, nice and clear..and bright

The niner has true HIDs...bright as hell haha you can see that thing coming from miles away!

You can see it coming but can you see anything else on the road? HIDs are a touchy topic because a lot of people do em wrong and they blind others. I'm sure I'm not the first to ***** and moan about it.

Believe it or not, i think the PO angled the lights downward. They point just a tad more to the ground then the WJ's lights. Not sure if that's just how the ZJs are or if was set-up like that after the HID conversion.

All this talk about power steering fluid got me worried...so today i checked mine out and found that it is infact the Mopar fluid (thank god ). However, i also found that it has dexcool coolant instead of the Mopar coolant or Zerex. Going to wait to replace it until it hits 100k (as i will be replacing all fluids at that mark). The coolant only has about 1500 miles on it as of now, so i don't see a major problem running it for another 4k miles.

I'm at a toss up if I should change out the ATF in the P.S. system, I don't have the hydro fan in my Jeep and its been running ATF now for 50k miles. Probably wouldnt hurt to go ahead and do a good flush and replace with Mopar PS though.

I want to do the coolant in my Jeep too and flush it all out and put G05 in it.

Did it have the ATF from the factory? I remember that was a possibility being thrown around your build thread, but now you say it's only been in there 50k miles. I have to agree with you, using the Mopar fluid wouldn't hurt and it would give you peace of mind.

Did you ever find out what coolant is in it now?

Best bet would be to drain and flush the system, no? Even if you don't NEED the Mopar PS fluid, i would think it provides more protection and less wear then ATF? Just guessing.

Could be the recommended coolant, or worse, Dexcool . Is it as important for the 4.0's cooling system to have the Mopar specific (or similar) coolant? I know for the V8's it's a must have, but I'm not sure about the I6.

Yes would be best to flush it all out, and the fill it with mopar power steering fluid.

Who knows, I know that the v8's have aluminum heads and need a coolant that wont corrode the aluminum. I6 is all cast iron and couldn't tell you if it needed a special coolant. Can't think off the top of my head.

The V8s definitely should be running HOAT coolant, specifically Zerex G-05 should work for ya. Early i6s like mine were factory filled with Zerex green, non-g05. When you hit the mark to do your coolant make sure it gets power flushed or you get every trace of the old stuff out, it does NOT mix well with G-05. Later spec WJs V8 or i6 were factory filled with Zerex G-05/Mopar coolant which is gold/red.
