I really like your WJ so far, but you're going to love it more once you get some decent tires. Keep the BFG's for the street/mild wheeling, but I can tell you that they were near worthless on multiple trips for me. I tried running them at 20, 18, 15, and 12 PSI, and could never get them to grip like I wanted them to. The extra part of the lug in the Rubi-specific pattern takes away a lot of their aggressiveness offroad.

The BFG Mt have been ok so far. What kind of tires do you recommend?

I keep telling people, and no one listens to me, but Hankooks are awesome tires. Mine have at least 7,000 miles on them now and still look new. No chunking of the tread while off-roading either. It took a year just to wear off all the little nubs on the sides! LOL They're tougher than you'd think. I would've preferred Goodyear Silent Armors with kevlar, but these were quite a bit cheaper. Discount has deals from time to time, also. I can't imagine any other tire being better or more versatile. Sure, there might be better dedicated street or winter or MT tires, but for the broad spectrum, I love these things.

No picture update but just wanted to document this. Power steering pump replaced along with high pressure hose.

The traction on my MTR-K's has been unreal, although I have had an issue with the case on one of the tires. Traction is night and day offroad versus the same wheel/tire setup you have. I would buy another set of MTR-K's in a heartbeat, and probably will.

I also had good luck with Cooper STT's, but did not wheel nearly as hard when I had those (BB'd and they were 30's, so I only got so crazy). They wore well and had good traction in the snow.

I will say that I've gotten way more miles out of the BFG MT's. I am somewhere in the neighborhood of 40k, and still have a decent amount of tread left, and well above the wear bars. The only wear issues I've had were due to front end components wearing out.

The ride is awesome, better than stock. I'm very pleased with everything so far. Gas mileage is as good as a lifted V8 Jeep can get I guess. I can get 18-20 highway and 11-13 town.
