You need an adapter that has to be programed for the specific head unit. I had bought one to install but it got lost in storage.

I'm still hanging around the Forums i just have a 04 Golf TDI as a DD. I'm gonna do a scrambler build in the next year. Looking at putting a diesel in it.

Here's a random shot I took one night after work when I was bored.
park-shot.jpg

I flew a flag on July 4th, why?, because 'Merica!
4th-july.jpg

I went wheeling July 4th night and I decided my bumper needed to be trimmed badly after almost getting torn off. Here's a few shots:

I went on vacation with my girlfriend's family to Fenwick Island, DE and everyday I drove on the beach and went swimming. It was a blast, and the MT/Rs did amazing in the sand. Heres some pics.

Later that night, I decided to take the doors off in Ocean City and go for a cruise on the beach with the girlfriend.

The next day in Ocean City, there was a trail ride sponsored by the Eastern Shore Jeep Association which is a great group of guys. Here some pics from that day.

And here's the aftermath of what a great weekend it was with the Maryland clay all over it. Definitely going back next year.

Labor Day Weekend, me and my buddy with an '04 WJ and another buddy with an '04 TJ, all went door less and rode around on the property I have upstate. The gray WJ didn't come home in too good of shape =[

So i did the tank tuxk yesterday with my buddy. It wasnt too hard, just time consuming, took around 7-8 hours. Heres some pics.

tank-tuck-1.jpg

We started off by removing everything out of the spare tire well and cut that out.

tank-tuck-2.jpg

tank-tuck-3.jpg

Then we were left with a hole in the trunk with visable access to the tank.

tank-tuck-4.jpg

The next step was to unbolt the gastank, the hitch and the evap canister, and move everytging out of the way.

tank-tuck-5.jpg

tank-tuck-6.jpg

tt7.jpg

The above picture is with no tank in the jeep at all.

We then had to cut off the mounts on the tank skid and then cut another 6" lower to get rid of all that material. Then we welded up the mounts back onto the skid creating a tuck

We then had to drill a 3" hole through the frame to run the gas lines through, and we surrounded the hole with 3" exhaust piping

tt10.jpg

tt11.jpg

The filler neck had to be cut down so that the hose wouldnt kink.

tt12.jpg

After the skid was welded, and the hoses were ran, we bolted the tank back up and put the jeep down on its own weight. Overall we gained 7 inches out of the tuck. Im very happy with the way it came out.
