I kept them too but the grey didn't look right so I changed them to black, what I meant was the colors red/grey look good together, lol

Now your steering wheel controls no longer work.

I just use a tape deck adapter to plug into my Galaxy Note 2. Works great for me for Google Music / Pandora / Slacker, and I can still use the steering wheel controls for the volume with the phone and all the controls for the radio.

I dont really care about the steering wheel controls. Tape deck is really bad quality.

LOL, a tape deck adapter for a Note 2?

I ditched the super fancy RB1 radio from mine and put in a nice Alpine HU I had from a previous car. It would have cost $300 to get an ipod adapter for the stock radio, totally not worth it. Definitely wasn't rigging up some aux input either.

Then I installed an ASWC in 15 minutes and I had the steering wheel controls working again. I can control the volume, radio, CD and ipod with them.

Oh c'mon. The tape adapter works fine. Been using it for years and I'm picky about my sound and it sounds great! Lol

Does this headunit work with the wired steering wheel controls? I am looking to replace my head unit and I have a exact same jeep with just a few thousand less miles on it.
