Xj to mYJ

Hello all, this is my first post. Sorry if I haven't posted in the correct section of the forum. I am still learning the etiquette of this site. I have a 1987 xj with an amc 242 and an automatic trans. I also have a 95 wrangler with the amc 150 and an ax15 trans. I want to take the 242 and drop it into the wrangler. I am just not sure if it will sync to the ax15 trans or if there will be any wiring issues. Has anyone done this before?

If the YJ is stock it has an AX-5 not AX-15. So it will not bolt up to the weak AX-5. The wiring also will need to be modified extensively. Sorry but not the easiest way to go but not impossible.
