WJ Axle Swap 3.55 to WJ 3.73

My WJ is the first vehicle I have ever had I'm 16 and have no experience with axles. I do all of my own work and learn everything as I go. I need the forum's help on axle knowledge though. My '04 came with 3.55 gearing and I've been wanting to take a 3.73 axle from a V8 WJ and put it in mine. Could someone tell me what I'll need besides the 3.73 axle and what will need to be done please. I don't need extreme specifics, just need to know the tasks like remove old axle, put new one in, but I don't know if I have to do any gear stuff or if it's just simple take off and bolt on. Thanks for any help!
