We found a 258 engine that’s supposed to be an ’84 or ’85 that’s been in a 1978 CJ body since a past swap. We want to put it in a 1986 CJ body. (The original ‘86 engine is dead.)

What trouble will we have? Already know about an air vent solenoid on the back of the 1986 engine that isn’t on the engine from the ’78. (We’ll have to use the ’86 carb.) Anything else to worry about? We can transfer the bellhousing and trany from the original engine. Will we have distributor troubles because of a different electronic ignition? The engine we're getting is already out of the vehicle so I don't know what the ignition module was. Can I figure that if it plugs in, it’ll work? What am I not aware of?

a proper idea.If anyone have an idea please suggest me.
