Whats up with my jeep???
i have a 94 xj and when i go from being stopped at a red light or stop sign i press the gas and the engine just revs up for about 3 second then kinda ...clicks... into gear it feels like and starts moving. Any suggestions or explanations?

lol yes im aware its broken...or that somethings wrong however i would prefer to fix whats wrong rather than sell it for the equivalent of a mcchicken

Sounds like your transmission is slipping.
Check your transmission fluid level. Add fluid if needed or do a fluid change and see if that helps. If the fluid gets too low or worn out/burnt, the transmission will start to act up. Run it long enough with insufficient fluid and you will burn up an auto transmissions clutch bands. I had this happen recently to a Camry. Sudden fluid loss from bad gaskets toasted the clutch bands. Wasn't a cheap fix, unfortunately, but still cheaper than buying a new car. |
