I plan on doing a tune up to my 2005 jeep grand Cherokee 5.7 hemi. My question is do I have to switch out the coil packs?

Not unless there is a problem with one. Be careful with the boots, too. When you put it back together sparingly use a little white lithium grease to lube the boots when you put the packs back in place.
