transmission

OK I know this may sound strange, but in shifting in the lower gears it sounds like an empty bottle rolling around in the passenger side floor board. But of course there isn't a bottle and the noise is coming from underneath or the engine on the passenger side. Any suggestions as to what it might be? Had a mechanic look at and they (at a hefty price) took out the tranny and replaced some bearings. Seemed to fix it, but now noise is back and even louder?

Unfortunately we can't really see your Jeep from here, what kind is it, which transmission, engine, year...?

Could be bad U joints, dry slip yoke, worn engine/tranny mounts, toasted shocks, loose exhaust, the list goes on
