transfer case leaking

This week my 1999 cherokee 4x4 automatic with 90000 miles developed a leak. This is a one owner stock Califirnia suv never modified. Just a daily commuter and Tahoe ride.
It appears to be coming from the front of the tranfer case or perhaps rear of transmission. They both use the same fluid.
Any suggestions on the probability of the problem and if I can fix in a garage with basic tools?
What is the estimated cost to replace seals?
Thanks

Find out which one is low on fluid will tell ya which seal is leaking, Then the transfer case will have to be removed and whichever seal is leaking be replaced.
