Transfer case id

Hi, Iam swapping my 2.5 for complete drivetrain 5.2l 98 dodge dakota in my infinite wisdom I didn't grab the vin of the dakota and the transfer case has a missing Id badge. The local dealer was no help I think it's a nv241 or nv242 there is no speedo on tail housing and its a 32 spline output shaft with 310 front and back yokes. I am really stuck with chosing a roght SYE kit. I know it's not a 231 by the four prong sensor near the vent.

From what I can find the options that year were an NP231D if it's a part time case, or an NP242 if it's a full time case. The 4 wire plug you see sounds like the shift indicator for the NP242D transfer case.

When I go through shift sequence I got from top 2hi, 4hi, neutral, 4low respectively, stupid question would the shifts still be the same for 231 and 242?
