trans hose connection to radiator

Hello,

I am from Montreal.

Radiator cracked on my 2002 liberty 3.7L automatic while traveling in Vermont(3h from home). The service man I found on the small road was a collision shop, so not a pro of mechanic. He ordered an aftermarket radiator, but could not re-connect the transmission fluid hoses: the fittings would not thread.

He ordered a Chrysler radiator, but it will take another 2 days for delivery: we will see the result then.

Does anyone have a similar problem with an aftermarket rad?
Will he have the same problem with the Chrysler rad?
Is there a way to fit these hoses ?

Thanks, I pay a rental car 40$/day, so help is welcome.
