time for and oil chage or not??

Hi, my 98XJ has as of now 121643m on it, 3 months have past from my las oil change, but i did not get 3000m out of it, on 122958m it will be 3000m from the last oil change, i use 10W-40 Synthetic Blend form Quaker State and i add a can of RESTORE to it, the oil filter that i use is K&N, the thing is should i change the oil or not and wait some more time??

Every 3000 miles is not a set-in-stone rule. It's "about" every 3000 miles. If you change it at 2500 or 3500 nothing will happen. Also, when talking about "every 3000 miles or every 3 months", it's generally whichever comes first. So if you go 3 months and have only driven 1000 miles, it's probably not as important as if you were to go 3000 miles in one month and wait 3 months.

It's all a personal thing...

If you are using syn you can go more than 3k if you want. I use a semi-syn and change every 3k but thats just me. There was a thread on here where guys were going much longer between changes. It sounds like a pretty expensive oil change, so I would let go a little longer if you are comfortable doing so.

91XJ- NP231, 31x10.5 MTR's, 15x8 soft 8's, BB, K&N intake, Cherry bomb exaust, CB, Stereo mods, fog lights, custom Aluminum body work to cover rust.

Rember: If they dont find you handsome, at least they will find you handy!
