Is there a "bolt in" Dana 44 for YJs?

Ok, so I did some searching and came up with nothing. So I'll just ask here. Are there companies or someone that sells dana 44s already set up to be put in a YJ? With the shock mounts and stuff already welded into place? I would love to do an axle upgrade but not really handy with a welder, and thinking about just kinda being lazy about it and buy one thats already set up for me . . . just a thought, sorry if it's stupid.

a 78/79 ford f250 d44 is bolt in for the yj, but they are full width, so it would be 3 1/2" wider on each side. you can cut down the tubes to match the size, but it sounds like you don't really want to do ANY fab work.

off-road shops would build "turn-key" axles. they'll cost you a pretty penny though.

It's not that i don't want to do any work. I just have no clue what to do, and I don't have any jeep friends that could help me . . .

no,they are a different setup. i know 0k4wd and other companies sell already setup 8.8's to bolt into a yj, but they are crazy expensive.

so the spring perchs and shock mounts are in the right place? you just have to shorten it?

yes, but only for the front. the rear is not bolt in.
there are no real junk yard bolt ins for the rear of a yj, but cutting and welding new perches is not hard at all. there are plenty of write-ups around for you to follow. and if you don't know how to weld, you can have the welding done by your local welding shop, or even find a fellow jeeper in your area, that will help you out.
