t case problem

My jeep wrangler makes a grind noise When in 2 wheel only in reverse. Its all fine in 4 wheel hi/low. The t case is a 231j and it has a standerd trans.

Check the vacuum lines, the gears might not fully retract and rub in 2 but are engaged when in 4.

I rebuilt the t case with one i found with a broken chain! The 2wheel gears were All in t case What a mess. Used gears and fork from a newer 231j and It got the trails last nite..
