T-176 shifting issues... 4th too "loose," reverse resistant
O.K... picked up a solid '80 CJ. T-176 transmission.

4th gear: I can shift "too far." I can vaguely feel where the 4th gear "stop" should be, if I pass this point, shifter becomes loose in one direction. I have no problem shifting back into third..... but I can feel this is not right.

Reverse: Transmission drops into reverse fine, but needs a little finesse to shift out. If I shift straight out of reverse as I "should," I cannot shift into any other gears. If I push slightly out and to the right, and into third, and back into neutral, I am golden.

If the this a shift fork issue, or something more major? I cam running o.k. now, but expect the issue to become more worse. I would like to fix this now... input is greatly appreciated.
