Synthetic oil question

Want to switch to synthetic oil in my I6/258. Do I need to flush the system somehow, or can I just drain the old oil, change the filter and add synthetic?

you *can* just make the switch if you want to. However if you're really worried about deposits and sludge left over from the old oil, i would run an engine flush. You can either buy the can of stuff or go get the heavy duty treatment that many dealers offer that really dissolves anything in the engine. course, that's expensive. then just add your flavor of synthetic, my personal fav is mobil 1. I know that with another synthetic oil (AMSoil) you have to run a motor solvent through it to get the best results.

Awwwwwwwwwwww... So he wants to go OFF-ROAD does he????
