swap advice needed

commando. 1970
Need to go auto for disability reasons. Would love to add more power while I am at it. Advice welcome!
Completly stock. V6 3 spd 44 rear 27 front

These were offered stock with a turbo400/d20 combo. I would peruse every forum I could and try to see if somebody has the stock setup. This may net you the stock pedals, steering column, and linkages, as well as the drivelines.
As for power: HEI, 4bbl manifold and carb, and headers are the easiest upgrades.
You may also want to swap the the steering to a later Saginaw unit (power would be nice)

your 70 Commando has a odd fire 225 V6 Im sure there are upgrades for that motor as a 231 even fire V6 will drop right in.

check with advance adapters and novak conversions for mating an auto to your v6. good luck with your project.
