When you say light do you mean loose? Or hard to turn or is it too easy to turn? Does it drive straight or is it wandering?
Is there a lot of play in the steering wheel

Hey, thanks for the reply, nope it just seems really easy to steer no real play just a very light steering action, all fine on a straight motorway. .. any ideas? (I've had her for over 10 years and she hasn't ever felt like this) p.s. local garage had a look and said all seems fine.

If there's real play or wandering or noises then I would think it is ok.
You can always take it to another shop like an alignment shop for a second opinion.

Check the tire pressure first. Did someone fill the tires to MAX pressure instead of recommended pressure?

If you own a Renix Jeep, you'll want to check this out.

Hey guys, thanks for the reply... no wandering, clanks or anything I'll try a local tyre shop (they are good & trustworthy with tracking etc) I'll get back to you if I make any headway

So... If the steering damper was shot, what would the symptoms be (I have no death wobble)?
Thanks in advance
